Re-enacting and Being a Woman

Okay, so I'm part of a re-enactment society called Milites de Bec, and have been part of it for almost a year now. However, I've only in the last two or three weeks begun fighting as a warrior, before that I'd been just doing crafts. Now I'm doing wood whittling, sewing, and fighting. And oooooh fighting is so much better than I ever knew! I'm going to invest in my own spear and everything >3
This weekend there is a big show in Detling, and I was going to stay on the wic (the authentic re-enactment site bit) but, of course, my womanly body had other ideas and struck me down with very poorly timed pain. So I went on saturday and had a great time - I made my own Knife (and yes damnit that DOES need a capital letter!), I did some more sewing on my tunic, and I bought some fabric to make a new tunic. I was hoping to sleep there, but my traitorous body had other ideas. And so, I came home for the night and then couldn't get out of bed this morning for tiredness and pain. So I'm currently at home and just hoping my body behaves itself enough to let me go again tomorrow.
I really can't wait!
